Undergraduate Researchers

Undergraduate researchers are encouraged to become involved in existing projects in the lab or to perform independent research.

If you are interested in performing research related to paleontology, vertebrate morphology, evolution, or ecology, please start by coming to Fossil Wednesday events for a semester to learn about the projects going on in the lab and to become integrated into the community.

If you are interested in performing computational research, there are several projects available to work on that involve programming in R or using GIS to perform analyses.

If you would like to join the lab or have been attending Fossil Wednesdays and want to transition to a project, please email Jenny the following:

  • a copy of your transcript
  • a statement of interest that includes
    • information about yourself
    • your long-term goals
    • why you want to do research in SEPL
